Mobile Apps

Mobile work covers the full lifecycle, not just the first release: initial build, app store submission and review, then the update cycle that keeps an app working as both platforms change underneath it. We choose native or cross-platform per project based on what the app actually needs to do, not on a default stack we reach for regardless of fit.

Design follows each platform's own conventions rather than forcing one interface onto both, because an app that feels foreign on iOS or Android loses users before it does anything else wrong. Offline behaviour, push notifications, in-app purchases and device permissions are planned for from the start, not patched in after the interface is already built.

We handle store listing assets, submission and the review process itself, and stay available for the update cycle afterward - crash reports, OS version support and the ordinary maintenance that keeps an app from quietly breaking on the next platform update.

What this covers

  • Native Android apps Built to Android's own conventions rather than a shared compromise.
  • Native iOS apps The same, for iPhone and iPad.
  • Cross-platform apps One codebase where the app does not need platform-specific depth.
  • Store submission and review Getting through Apple and Google review, not just to a build.
  • Updates and maintenance The cycle that keeps an app working as both platforms change.
  • Offline, push and payments Offline behaviour, notifications, in-app purchases and permissions.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a typical project take?

Most projects run 4 to 16 weeks depending on scope, agreed and written down before work starts so there are no surprises partway through.

What does it cost?

It depends on scope - fixed-price for a defined build, or a retained monthly arrangement for ongoing work. See the pricing section on our services page for the general shape of each option.

Do we own the code and assets at the end?

Yes. Every engagement ends with full source code handover, documentation, and a support window - nothing is held back to keep you dependent on us.

Curious what this looks like in practice? See our projects for real examples, or read more about how we work.
